We must begin to consider what we will tell “Santa” to bring us for Christmas.Maybe you have a pretty good idea what you would like to find under your Christmas tree on Christmas morning….. So, let’s make a list.Do you have any idea what ALL that you WANT might cost????? If so, give an estimate of each item as you list it.Then we will actually do some online shopping to find the actual cost of the items on our list.I don’t know what your parents limit might be, but let’s say that your parents have set a limit of $500 for you (this is pretend after all).How close can you get to that?Don’t forget to include sales tax!!!!!

Steps for completing today’s activity:
1.Open Microsoft Excel from the icon or from the start menu.
2.Click in cell A1, type the heading ITEM.
3.Use the tab button, or click in cell B1.Type in the heading ESTIMATE.
4.In cell C1, type the heading Actual.
5.Highlight to select the row, and then, on the Standard Toolbar, click on the Bold and Center.
6.Under the heading ITEM list all the items you want to add to your wish list.
7.Under the heading Estimate, list the price for each one of these items.To make sure you do not go over your allotted amount, go to the row just below the last item on you list, click in column B and then click on the Auto sum key in the toolbar (S ).This will keep a running total of your list.
8.Leave the column under Actual empty for now.
Making a list and checking it twice…..Now, save it to your computer as Santa list.
